A Few Ideas For Worst Dog Haircuts
This is the second part of my series on the best way to cut your dog’s hair short. In the first article of this series, “What to Expect”, I explained what the best dog hair cuts are. This second article is about what not to do when trying to achieve the look you want. Keep this in mind the next time you try to cut your dog’s hair. That is all for now, hope I’m useful to you. See you at the end of this next article for more helpful information on dog care.
The first rule of thumb about haircuts for dogs is, don’t cut your dog’s hair way above the ear line. While this may seem cute or you may think it makes your dog look better (I personally don’t agree), it can cause extreme damage over time. Here are a few reasons why:
Dogs have hair that doesn’t grow, they can’t grow hair on their own, so they need someone to do it for them. They can’t control the hair on their own, so they need a good haircut. If you cut there’s no way for them to stop and fix it themselves. It’s just one way they can get rid of the hair on their ears the easiest way possible. If you don’t do a professional cut, they can actually pull chunks of hair out by mistake.
When you’re taking care of your dog’s ears, there are several things you need to do. First, you need to trim your dog’s hair regularly. You should take out about a quarter inch of hair at a time. This helps stop matting in the ears. If your dog’s ears get clogged with hair when it grows, your dog will only be able to hear its own bark.
When you trim their hair, always start with the most recently shaved portion. It’s a bad idea to cut from the back or the side. Start somewhere in the middle. This way the ear will look neat and tidy. If your dog is sensitive, you should use a special hair cutting comb. Use it gently on the ears to make sure they aren’t irritated.
You shouldn’t be cutting too much of the hair off either. The ears need room to breathe and to grow back in properly. If you cut off too much hair, they’ll just keep growing back slower. You’ll have to wait a while before they’re growing out completely.
When you’re cutting your dog’s ears, you also need to make sure that you don’t cut them too low. You should never go below the ear line, even just a little bit. This can actually hurt your dog’s ears and they won’t like it. You want them to grow back to their normal size and not get bigger.
When you have your dog’s ears done, you should make sure you rinse them out very well. The last thing you want to do is give your dog something that they can breathe in. Do yourself a favor and wash them out and try to use an antiseptic afterward. This will help the area heal and it will make the dog very happy.
Getting your dog’s teeth done is another good way to style his ears. This can be one of the better cuts that you can do on your dog. This cut will make the hair around the ears go white. This is a cute haircut and your dog will love it. Your dog will also look shiny and pretty. It will also be easier to keep the hair off of your dog’s eyes when he has this cut.
Of course there are plenty of other ways that you can style your dog’s ears. One option would be to shave them. Yes, there are kits available at the store that will work for this type of haircut. Just start by plucking a strip of hair and then shave it down to the ears. Then you’ll simply trim the remaining hair until it looks just right. The best part about this haircut is that it works for all types of dogs.
There are plenty more ways that you can change up your dog’s style. It’s really up to you how much you want to stylize your dog’s mane. Just make sure that you think about your dog’s comfort and his appearances. If you have any concerns about whether or not your dog would be comfortable with a certain style, you should take that concern to the owner. Most owners are more than willing to work with their pets to make them look their absolute best!
